Volotea (V7, Barcelona El Prat) has announced it will develop Verona into its seventh base later this winter. Effective November 3 of this year, the Spanish LCC will base two B717-200s at the northern Italian airport for use on flights to Bari, Catania, and Palermo International as well as to new destinations such as Cagliari and Naples Capodichino locally as well as Tirana, Albania, and Chisinau International, Moldova internationally.

Currently, Volotea operates bases at Venice Marco Polo and Palermo in Italy, Nantes, Bordeaux Mérignac, and Strasbourg Enzheim in France, and Asturias in Spain.
