Conviasa (V0, Caracas Simón Bolivar) has maintained its rotation of leased foreign widebody aircraft used on longhaul routes to Madrid Barajas and Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini.
Research shows CS-TFM (msn 28513), a B777-200(ER) on wet-lease from Portugal's euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon), has now replaced EC-MFA (cn 212), an A340-300 that had been leased from Spain's Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas (PU, Madrid Barajas) since early last month. The new contract will run until the end of October.
The A340 had, in turn, replaced 9M-XXJ (cn 1423), an A330-300 the Venezuelan carrier had leased from AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur International) earlier in the year.
