Compass Airlines (United States of America) (Minneapolis St. Paul International) has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for permission to begin operating scheduled international passenger and freight flights. It did not specify any particular countries in the application asking instead for blanket rights to all countries with which the United States has Open Skies agreements.
A subsidiary of Trans States Airlines (St. Louis Lambert International), Compass Airlines operates seven E170s and thirty-six E175s for and on behalf of Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) under its Delta Connection banner, and fifteen EMB-175s for American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) under its American Eagle banner.
Compass currently already serves Monterrey Mariano Escobedo, Saskatoon and Vancouver International for Delta and Vancouver for American.
