PNG Air (CG, Port Moresby) has outlined its planned ATR72-600(C) operations following the delivery of its maiden aircraft of the type to Port Moresby last week.

In a statement, the Papua New Guinean operator said P2-ATR (cn 1287) had begun replacing the DHC-8-100 on flights from Port Moresby to Goroka, Alotau, Lae Nadzab, Mount Hagen, Wewak, and Popondetta effective November 4.

Another of the type is expected to arrive in Papua New Guinea before year-end.
