Airnavia (Aalborg) is a Danish start-up looking to charter an MD-83 - OY-RUE (msn 49936) - from DAT - Danish Air Transport (Kolding) for budget operations with ticket sales commencing Friday, November 13.
Backed by the DK Rejs tour firm, Airnavia says its maiden flight will be a 4x weekly Aalborg to London Stansted service following which it will expand its network to include Irakleion, Rhodes International, Kerkyra, Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur, Varna, Malta International, and Gazipasa.
The virtual carrier plans to secure its own Air Operators Certificate (AOC) within the next three years airline Chief Commercial Officer Mathias Madsen said.
