Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) has resumed normal scheduled passenger operations between Kazakhstan and Russia following a diplomatic impasse this past weekend.
Aeroflot and its Kazakh counterpart Air Astana (KC, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev) had warned of possible flight cancellations prior to the Russian and Kazakh governments agreeing to renew traffic rights ahead of a March 27 deadline.
Aside from Aeroflot and Air Astana, carriers designated to service the Russia-Kazakhstan market include: IrAero (IO, Irkutsk International), RusLine (7R, Moscow Vnukovo), S7 Airlines (S7, Novosibirsk), SCAT Airlines (DV, Shymkent), and Yamal Airlines (YC, Salekhard).
