Air Guilin (GT, Guilin) has secured its preliminary approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). The start-up will initially operate a trio of A319-100s sourced from sister carrier Capital Airlines (China) (JD, Beijing Daxing International), including two purchased and one under operating lease.
Air Guilin is a 60/40 joint-venture between Guilin Tourism Development Corporation and HNA Group's Guilin Aviation Tourism Group Ltd with CNY600 million (USD94.48 million) in initial capital.
