Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) has finalized an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for ten B737-800s the US manufacturer has announced.
Formed in 1984 as China's first joint venture between the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and a municipal government, Xiamen Airlines began operations in 1985 with two B737-200Advs serving three cities.
At present, Xiamen Airlines operates seventeen B737-700s, 109 B737-800s, four B757-200s, and six B787-8s on scheduled flights throughout China as well as to Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, the Netherlands, and Canada.
