Tassili Airlines (Algiers) has issued Requests For Proposals (RFP) to all aircraft manufacturers for the supply of up to five commercial aircraft.
In the first tender, the Algerian carrier is looking to acquire three jet aircraft capable of seating 150 passengers each along with one option. In the second tender, it is looking for a seventy-seater regional turboprop aircraft.
The tenders have been aimed at manufacturers specifically with Tassili Airlines stating it would exclude intermediate parties.
The deadline for submissions is December 14, 2016.
Tassili Airlines currently operates four DHC-8-400s, four DHC-8-200s, and four B737-800s on charter flights for its petroleum-producing parent Sonatrach as well as scheduled passenger flights around Algeria and to France.
