SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) has announced plans to decrease its fleet by 11 aircraft in fall and to lay off 1000 employees in an attempt to stem losses. It has also given up plans to launch a new Copenhagen-San Francisco service. On a more positive note, it has announced a new twice weekly seasonal Stockholm Arlanda-Kittilä service will operate between December 19 and March 27 using B737-600s.
