Monarch Airlines (1968) (London Luton) has taken delivery of its maiden B737-800 following the arrival of TC-AAY (msn 40874) at Birmingham, GB on Thursday, May 18.

The ex-Pegasus Airlines aircraft, which will become G-ZBAV on the UK register, is scheduled to be deployed into service from June 21 onwards. It will be based out of Birmingham, GB and will serve Menorca Mahón, Dalaman, Rome Fiumicino, Alicante Elche Miguel Hernández, Lisbon, Madrid Barajas, Tenerife Sur, Málaga, Faro, and Palma de Mallorca.

Other destinations that will eventually roll out as the summer season progresses include Barcelona El Prat, Stockholm Arlanda, Lanzarote. Service to Fuerteventura, Larnaca, and Gran Canaria is scheduled to commence from November onwards.
