EVA Air (BR, Taipei Taoyuan) has scheduled its final commercial B747-400 passenger service for Monday, August 21, 2017. In a statement, the carrier confirmed the route would be flight BR892 Hong Kong International-Taipei Taoyuan operated by its last remaining active B747-400, B-16411 (msn 29111).

Though the B747-400 is being withdrawn from passenger service, EVA Air will continue to operate the type for cargo flights. According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, it still has two B747-400(BDSF)s and three B747-400(FSCD)s in active service. They will, however, begin to be replaced when EVA Air takes delivery of two B777Fs in 2018.

As it stands, China Airlines (CI, Taipei Taoyuan) is the only remaining operator of the passenger version of the B747-400 in Taiwan employing a fleet of six alongside eighteen B747-400(FSCD)s.
