airBaltic (BT, Riga) has leased two additional ex-Fly Globespan (Y2/Edinburgh) B737-300s and will further strengthen its Riga hub with new services: Linköping-Bergen: weekly seasonal B737-300 service has started on May 31 Linköping-Stavanger: 3x weekly B737-300 service has started on May 4 Riga-Kaunas: 2x daily Fokker 50 service (already launched) Riga-Pskov: 2x weekly Fokker 50 service starting on September 1 Riga-Tartu: 4x weekly Fokker 50 service starting on July 3 Riga-Turku: 4x weekly Fokker 50 service starting on July 9 Riga-Warsaw: daily Fokker 50 service resuming on September 17 It has however given up its Kaliningrad-Copenhagen, Vilnius-Milan Malpensa, Vilnius-Munich and Vilnius-Stockholm Arlanda routes and will not resume its seasonal Riga-Adler/Sochi route this summer season. Its only remaining Vilnius routes this summer are Copenhagen, Riga and Tallinn. In an interesting move, it has actually extended its codeshare agreement with its former shareholder SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/Copenhagen Kastrup) and for the first time is offering transatlantic services out of Copenhagen Kastrup and Stockholm Arlanda as codeshare services.
