Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) will launch twice weekly A319-100 service between Moscow Sheremetyevo and Dresden on July 3 and has already resumed weekly B767-300ER service from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Magadan. Aeroflot has also introduced B767-300ER aircraft on its bi-weekly service from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Luanda on March 29 that it now operates non-stop therefore terminating service to Jeddah. It has however not temporarily suspended its Moscow Sheremetyevo-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi route unlike previously announced. Its plans for a new Moscow Sheremetyevo-Guangzhou route have been shelved. Aeroflot and Malev (MA/Budapest) have again entered into a codeshare agreement on the Moscow Sheremetyevo-Budapest route on which both carriers operate one daily service. In other news, Aeroflot is planning to set-up a charter division later this year and will most likely transfer its Il-96-300s to the new division. It is however considering letting its Aeroflot-Cargo (SU/Moscow Sheremetyevo) subsidiary file for bankruptcy because of its continuing negative financial performance.
