China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) has announced it has converted two B777-300ER order slots into B777Fs.
The carrier said in a Shanghai stock exchange filing that it had reached an agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) on the conversion on Thursday, February 28.
As it now stands, China Southern's October 2017 contract with Boeing has been revised from the previous eight B777-300(ER)s and thirty B737-8s, to six B777-300(ER)s, two B777(F)s, and thirty B737 MAX 8s.
Deliveries of the two B777 freighters are slated for 2020.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, China Southern's cargo division currently operates twelve B777(F)s and two B747-400(FSCD)s.
