Nordavia (Arkhangelsk Talagi) has been sold by Aeroflot (SU/Moscow Sheremetyevo) to Nordstar (Y7/Norilsk) parent Norilsk Nickel for 7 million USD. Norilsk Nickel is expected to merge Nordavia and NordStar at some point. It has already announced that it is planning to replace its four An-24s by ATR 42-500s. Meanwhile, Nordavia has introduced new scheduled services: Arkhangelsk-Helsinki: 3x weekly An-24 service has started on December 16 Moscow Sheremetyevo-Norilsk: 6x weekly B737-500 service has started on December 15 Moscow Sheremetyevo-Ufa: 5x weekly B737-500 service has started on December 15 Moscow Sheremetyevo-Volgograd: daily B737-500 service has started on March 27 Norilsk-Ekaterinburg-Rostov: 2x weekly B737-500 service has started on May 15 Norilsk-Novosibirsk-Krasnodar: 3x weekly B737-500 service has started on May 16 It has however given up its routes from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad, Kirovsk, Krasnodar and Simferopol.
