Frontier Airlines (F9, Denver International) has announced that it will open a new crew base at New York Newark in July 2020 which is expected to grow to more than 100 flight attendants within the first four months.
“Frontier has quickly become New York City’s airline of choice for low fares and friendly service, and we’re excited to continue our remarkable growth with a new flight attendant base at Newark Liberty,” Barry Biffle, President and Chief Executive Officer of Frontier, said in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming many new professionals from the NYC community to our team.”
According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Operator Schedule Data module, the ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) will operate to 15 direct destinations in Summer 2020 from Newark, including Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson, Cancún, Chicago O'Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver International, Las Vegas Harry Reid, Miami International, Ontario International, Orlando International, Phoenix Sky Harbor, Raleigh/Durham, San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin, Santiago de los Caballeros, Santo Domingo Las Américas, and Tampa International. Services to San Salvador International, San José, US, San Diego International, and Guatemala City are flown via intermediary points.
The ULCC already has bases at O’Hare, Denver, Orlando, Philadelphia International and Trenton, NJ airports. It will open a base at Miami in March 2020 which, within the first three months of operation, will see more than 100 flight attendants and 30 pilots based at the Florida airport.
