Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) has announced it will deploy A319-100s, operated by its executive charter division Air Canada Jetz (Montréal Trudeau), on scheduled domestic routes starting June 1, 2020.

The carrier will operate the A319s from Toronto Pearson to Ottawa International and to Montréal Trudeau, 2x daily on each of the routes. While the carrier did not specify the duration of the arrangement, the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Operator Schedule Data module indicates that for the time being, Air Canada plans to use the aircraft through the end of June.

Three Air Canada Jetz's A319-100s are configured with 58 premium seats each. Air Canada is selling tickets for these flights as a premium economy class. It also said that flights will be operated from "prime gate locations" with shortened boarding times.

According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module, Air Canada operates 13 in-house A319-100s, which are equipped with 14 business class seats and 106 economy class seats. The carrier's low-cost subsidiary Air Canada rouge (RV, Toronto Pearson) operates a further 22 which seat up to 136 passengers - 12 in business class and 124 in economy.

Air Canada also uses E175s, A220-300s, and A320-200s to connect Toronto with Ottawa and Montreal.
