Jet Airways (Mumbai International) has applied for international traffic rights to launch new routes to France, Germany and Vietnam as the Indian government is giving up a policy that gave Air India (AI, Delhi International) a monopoly on traffic rights to markets it wished to serve. Jet already received traffic rights for new routes to Dar es Salaam and Malé but has not yet announced a launch date for these routes. Air France (AF, Paris CDG) currently operates from Paris CDG to Bengaluru International, Delhi International and Mumbai International. Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) serves Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune from Frankfurt International. Mumbai and Delhi are also served from Munich. While Air India also serves Frankfurt and Paris CDG from Delhi, no carrier currently operates between India and Vietnam.
