JetSMART (JA, Santiago de Chile) took delivery of the first of its forty-seven firm-ordered A321-200NX on July 28, 2022.

CC-AWT (msn 10965) was subsequently ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder via Gander and San José Juan Santamaría to Santiago de Chile over the course of July 29-31. The aircraft, which has yet to be inducted into revenue service, is owned by Aviation Capital Group and configured in a single-class layout for up to 240 passengers.

The Chilean low-cost carrier has a further forty-six A321neo, as well as thirty-seven A320-200Ns and fourteen A321-200NY(XLR)s on firm order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). The aircraft are a part of two orders for 430 and 255 A320neo Family jets placed by parent firm Indigo Partners on behalf of its various LCCs in November 2017 and in October 2021, respectively. JetSMART has plans to lease an additional twelve A320-200Ns from BOC Aviation.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows that JetSMART currently operates five A320-200s and four -200Ns. JetSMART Argentina (WJ, Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini) operates a further six A320-200s, while JetSMART Perú (JZ, Lima International) operates two A320-200Ns.
