euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) has transitioned to a widebody-only operator with the retirement of its last B737-800, ch-aviation research has revealed.

CS-TQU (msn 30646) had been inactive since March 2020 and remained under maintenance at Budapest throughout the early waves of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was ferried to Castellón de la Plana Costa Azahar on March 3, 2021, and put in deep storage, only to be reactivated and ferried to Shannon on July 13, 2022, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft was re-registered in the United States as N30646 on August 15 and is due to be ferried across the Atlantic shortly.

Following the retirement of the B737-800, euroAtlantic Airways' fleet comprises four B767-300ERs and three inactive B777-200ERs. The Portuguese ACMI/charter specialist has primarily focussed on widebody aircraft, although it did operate up to two B737-300s (retired in 2006) and up to two B757-200s (exited from 2011), the ch-aviation fleets history module shows.
