Ameriflight (AMF, Burbank) took delivery of the first of its fifteen forthcoming Saab 340B(F) on August 22, 2022.

N968AF (msn 340B-197) was deregistered from the United Kingdom, where it was operated by Loganair (LM, Glasgow International), on August 11. It was subsequently ferried from Örebro via Reykjavik Domestic, Narsarsuaq, Goose Bay, Montréal Metropolitan, and Cleveland Hopkins to Dallas/Fort Worth, where it remains under pre-induction maintenance. The 32.3-year-old Saab (Sweden) turboprop is owned by Jetstream Aviation Capital and was converted in 2008, the ch-aviation fleets module shows.

Ameriflight announced plans to lease fifteen Saab340B(F)s from Jetstream Aviation Capital in May 2022 in response to "unprecedented demand" for cargo uplift. The aircraft will become the carrier's largest type to date. Ameriflight's fleet comprises around 150 regional aircraft, of which the largest used to be fourteen EMB-120ER(F)s. The airline is also a sizeable operator of Metroliner(F)s, Beech 1900Ds, and Beech (twin turboprop) 99s.
