FlyBosnia aims for 3 aircraft by year-end 2019
30.01.2019 - 23:04 UTCFlyBosnia (Sarajevo) is planning to add a further two A320 Family narrowbodies on top of the single A319-100 it has already taken, CEO Chris Gabriel told English-language Sarajevo Times.
"We are aiming to have another two aircraft this year and, by the end of five years, we aim to have a fleet of five aircraft. We are looking to increase the number of flights in and out of Sarajevo by more than double in the next twelve to fifteen months," Gabriel said.
The Bosnian start-up, a first attempt at creating a Sarajevo-based carrier since the collapse of B&H Airlines (Sarajevo) in 2015, planned to launch on January 31, 2019, although the date will be postponed. FlyBosnia's website remains inactive and its only aircraft, an ex-Rossiya A319 E7-FBA (msn 1808) has just returned from Sofia for maintenance.
The airline plans to announce its schedule and commence sales within the next "one or two weeks". Besides tickets, it will also sell package tours in Bosnia and Herzegovina....

FlyBosnia delays launch to mid-3Q18
19.06.2018 - 09:21 UTCJust days prior to its planned launch of operations between Sarajevo and Riyadh on June 10, the Bosnian start-up FlyBosnia (Sarajevo) has said it will not commence flights before August 2018, the Independent Balkan News Agency (IBNA) has reported.
The Saudi-backed start-up has still not secured an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) which blocks it from launching own operations. Besides the flights to Riyadh, the carrier also intends to launch services to Jeddah and later to other destinations. FlyBosnia, the second start-up under the same name after the unrelated and never-launched FlyBosnia (2004), has been founded by Al Shiddi Group, a Saudi investment group which has already been investing heavily in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006.
Despite the delay in FlyBosnia's launch, the service to Riyadh launched on June 13 operated operated by Nesma Airlines (Saudi Arabia) (NSS, Hail). According to Flightradar24 ADS-B data, the flight NA1000/NA10001 is operated 5x weekly with A320 equipment.
