Citywing (Isle of Man) will be the new brand to be adopted by virtual regional carrier Manx2 (Isle of Man) from January 1, 2013. The company has been acquired by its management team led by managing director David Buck which has taken over from the previous largest shareholder Noel Hayes. Citywing will continue to offer the same schedule from the Isle of Man to Belfast City, Blackpool, Gloucestershire and Newcastle, GB but will drop routes to Leeds/Bradford and Oxford Kidlington from early January. It will also continue to operate from Gloucester to Jersey and on its public service obligation route in Wales between Cardiff and Anglesey. Manx2 (or Citywing going forward) is essentially just a ticketing agency selling seats on Jetstream 32s chartered from Links Air (Humberside) and Let 410s chartered from VAN AIR Europe (V9, Brno) and does not have own aircraft or an air operator certificate.
