LIAT (Antigua and Barbuda) (Antigua) has announced it is considering moving its operations from and to Guyana from Georgetown Cheddi Jagan to Georgetown Eugene F. Correia International. According to a survey LIAT has conducted among its passengers, the majority of them would find operations to Ogle more convenient due to its closer location to Georgetown's city center. LIAT CEO Ian Brunton expects to be able to move its operations to Ogle from mid-2013 once additional upgrades to the airport's infrastructure have taken place. The airport is currently mainly used for domestic flights in Guyana. LIAT currently serves Georgetown daily from Bridgetown with a DHC-8-300.
