Tassili Airlines (Algiers) has made its first foray into the international flight market with the launch of weekly Bejaia to St. Etienne and Jijel to Lyon Grenoble Alpes Isère flights on July 5. The two routes, charter flights in reality, are aimed at meeting growing demand, particularly from Algerians in the south of France, during the summer period, Karim Bahard, Head of Communications at Tassili, said. According to Mr Bahard, other charter flights to Dubai International, Morocco, Spain and Turkey "will be operational by the end of the year." Since being granted its Air Operators Certificate earlier this year, Tassili has focussed mainly on connecting Algeria's southern regions.
