Mesa Airlines (YV, Phoenix Sky Harbor) and United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) have reached an agreement in which twenty CRJ700s that currently operate under the United Express banner will stay on until 2019 while thirty United E175s will be added over the next two years. The first revenue flight with United's EMB-175s is due to take place in the Summer of 2014. As a result, Mesa says it will hire approximately 350 pilots, 300 flight attendants, and 200 maintenance & support personnel to handle the aircraft's operations. Mesa operates as United Express and US Airways Express under contractual agreements with United Airlines and US Airways (Phoenix Sky Harbor) respectively, and independently in Hawaii as go! (Hawaii) (Honolulu).
