Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo) has signed a long-term lease agreement with China's ICBC Leasing for six Airbus A321-200 (SL) aircraft to be delivered between July 2015 and March 2016.

The acquisition of the A321 aircraft is another important step for Transaero Airlines’ aircraft fleet development and renewal.

The Russian carrier says it is negotiating with "a major leasing company" for the delivery of an additional eight A321s from March 2016 onwards. Overall, the company plans to take delivery of thirty A321 between now and 2019.

Currently, Transaero operates 100 aircraft including twenty B747-400s, fourteen Boeing 777s, seventeen Boeing 767s, forty-four Boeing 737s, and three Tu-214s.
