LIAT (Antigua and Barbuda) (Antigua) has announced it has not renewed a partnership agreement with Caribbean Helicopters (Antigua) following the current contract's expiration on Saturday, November 20.

“As we continue to pursue our relentless pursuit of operational efficiency and profitability, both us and our partner, Caribbean Helicopters, have decided not to extend the arrangement,” LIAT’s Chief Commercial Officer, Lloyd Carswell, said in a statement.

LIAT signed a bespoke charter agreement with Caribbean Helicopters in January of this year wherein the latter carrier would operate charter flights into thin Caribbean markets on LIAT's behalf using its fleet of Piper (twin piston) Navajo Chieftain PA31-350 and Britten-Norman BN-2 aircraft.

Destinations from Antigua included Dominica Cane Field, Anguilla, Basseterre, and Nevis.
