SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) has confirmed that it will shortly resume operating its Copenhagen Kastrup-Boston route using its own metal.

The carrier said in a statement it will replace the current B737-700 service, operated by PrivatAir (Switzerland) (Geneva) as a wet-lease, with its own daily A330-300 with effect from the end of October onwards.

PrivatAir has operated the route for SAS since its inaugural flight on March 29, 2016. SAS employed a similar approach for the launch of Copenhagen-New York Newark flights that launched in October 2015 but which have also since graduated to larger SAS widebody metal. The three year wet-lease agreement between PrivatAir and SAS was initially entered for the short lived Stavanger-Houston Intercontinental non-stop service.
