Uzbekistan Airways (HY, Tashkent International) is planning to purchase or lease four additional A320 family aircraft next year, Sputnik Uzbekistan reports. The Uzbek national carrier is considering both existing A320ceo or A320neo family aircraft. Initial talks have already been held with one lessor offering A321-200 aircraft.

Uzbekistan Airways already operates nine A320-200s as well as a single ACJA320-200 operated in a VIP configuration for the country's government. It also has five larger B757-200s in its narrowbody fleet, all of which were originally delivered to the carrier and previous operator TWA - Trans World Airlines (St. Louis Lambert International) in 1999.
