easyJet (London Luton) has announced plans to base three A320-200s at Bordeaux Mérignac starting in spring 2018 making the city in the Gironde department its sixth base in France following Lyon St. Exupéry, Nice, Paris CDG, Paris Orly and Toulouse Blagnac.
The low-cost carrier has not yet announced the new routes it plans to launch from its latest base. The destinations it currently already serves from Bordeaux are Amsterdam Schiphol, Barcelona El Prat, Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, CH, Belfast International, Berlin Schönefeld, Bristol International, Brussels National, Geneva, Glasgow International, Hamburg Helmut Schmidt, Lille Lesquin, Lisbon, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, Lyon, Marrakech, Marseilles, Milan Malpensa, Nice, Palma de Mallorca and Venice Marco Polo.
Bordeaux is already a base for HOP! (France) (A5, Paris CDG) and Volotea (V7, Barcelona El Prat).
