Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) has taken delivery of its first B787-9 following the arrival of ET-AUO (msn 38778) in Addis Ababa International from Everett on October 26.

Flightradar24 ADS-B data indicates the twinjet, which is leased from AerCap, has already been deployed into scheduled service on flights to Delhi International, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar.

According to its own fleet schedule, Ethiopian will take delivery of a total of four B787-9s from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). It currently operates nineteen B787-8s.
