SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) has taken delivery of the first aircraft due to be placed with its upcoming SAS Scandinavian Airlines Ireland (London Heathrow) unit. Skyliner Aviation reports A320neo EI-SIA (msn 7897) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Stockholm Arlanda last week ahead of its deployment into service for the Ireland-based carrier.

As previously reported, once all certification procedures have been completed, SAS Ireland is due to make its commercial debut later this month with flights from its London Heathrow hub to each of Copenhagen Kastrup and Stockholm Arlanda. Service from Stockholm Arlanda to Malaga, Brussels National, Edinburgh, Frankfurt International, Manchester International, and Oslo Gardermoen is due to start in February next year.
