Interjet (AIJ, Toluca) is expecting to add a total of eight A321neo to its fleet this year, the first of which, XA-JOE (msn 7939), was delivered this past weekend. According to Flightradar24 ADS-B, the aircraft was positioned from Airbus's Hamburg Finkenwerder plant to Toluca via Reykjavik Keflavik and Bangor on January 27/28.

"The A321neo will allow us to optimize operations on our high-density routes while maintaining our commitment to offer our passengers the latest in technology, comfort and efficiency," José Luis Garza, CEO of Interjet, said in a statement.

The Mexican LCC currently operates forty-seven A320-200s, three A320neo, six A321-200s, and twenty-one SSJ 100/95s on services to 54 destinations across Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Cuba, Canada, and Guatemala.
