EgyptAir Holding Chairman and CEO, Safwat Musallam, has outlined preliminary delivery plans for the carrier group's A220-300 and B787-9 orders.

Speaking to al Ahram newspaper, Musallam said the first CS300 was due to arrive from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) between November 2018 and January 2019 while the first B787-9 is due from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) in June 2019.

Egyptair has twelve firm and twelve optioned CS300s on order from Bombardier. The firm CSeries jets will deliver through 2020 while the optioned aircraft, if exercised, would be for delivery between 2020 and 2026. Collectively, they will replace EgyptAir Express's fleet of twelve E170s which are due to be phased out over the course of 2018 and 2019.

In terms of the Dreamliners, EgyptAir (MS, Cairo International) will lease six B787-9s from AerCap all of which are sourced from the lessor's Boeing (BOE, Washington National) order book.
