The aircraft will be delivered over the next 4-5 years and are presumably on dry-lease contracts.

Last month, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Amar Abrol told PNI that the AirAsia affiliate would use the added capacity to bolster its domestic operations while at the same time, venturing into the international market.

Overseas flights are set to tentatively start early next year with flights to Southeast Asia initially followed by China.
