Iran Aseman Airlines (EP, Tehran Mehrabad) has resumed ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) operations after the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO.IRI) lifted an order that had grounded its three ATR72-200s and two ATR72-500s in late February.

The measure was taken following the crash of ATR72-200 EP-ATS (msn 391) in mid-February which killed all 66 passengers and crew onboard.

In a statement, the regulator said a review of Iran Aseman's fleet had revealed no safety concerns thus clearing the way for their return to commercial service on Monday, March 19.

The first revenue flight conducted was EP3792 from Shiraz to Bandar Abbas.
