Jat Airways (Belgrade Nikola Tesla) will be rebranded in 2010 to a new brand that will most likely make reference to Serbia. Jat is the original name of the carrier that still refers to Yugoslavia. Jat is planning to lease several B737-700s and ATR 72-500s to modernize its fleet and to possibly order several regional jets for longer routes with low demand. It has introduced new services earlier this spring: Belgrade-Dubrovnik: 2x weekly seasonal ATR 72-200 service starting between July 2 and August 31 Belgrade-Larnaca-Abu Dhabi: 2x weekly B737-300 service has started on March 31 It has also entered into a codeshare agreement with LOT Polish Airlines (LO/Warsaw) and is selling seats on LOT services between Belgrade and Warsaw. Jat has wet-leased a B737-300 to Air Ivoire (VU/Abidjan).
