Alaska Air Group has announced that during the first quarter of 2018, it entered into a supplemental agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to defer certain B737 deliveries and to convert fifteen B737-8 orders to MAX 9s. The carriers first MAX 9 is due in 2019.

As of March 31, 2018, the group said it had commitments to purchase forty-three B737 Family jets (eleven B737 NextGen and thirty-two B737 MAX), with deliveries in the remainder of 2018 through 2023.

In terms of other outstanding orders, Alaska Air Group also has commitments with Embraer for the purchase of twenty-two E175s with deliveries due during the remainder of 2018 through 2021. It also has cancelable purchase commitments for thirty A320neo with deliveries from 2021 through 2023.

The group also has options to purchase thirty-seven B737 and thirty EMB-175s.
