Ukraine's Minister of Infrastructure, Volodymyr Omelyan, has confirmed that there are two more prospective carriers undergoing certification ahead of a possible launch later this year.

"We are close to completing the creation of two new airlines that will fly in Ukraine," he was quoted by Interfax during a meeting of the European Business Association. "One is foreign, and the second is backed by Ukrainian capital."

He declined to provide additional details.

According to the ch-aviation airlines module, Ukraine is currently home to eight scheduled passenger carriers at present namely AtlasGlobal UA, Bravo Airways (Ukraine), Motor Sich Airlines, SkyUp Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines, UM Air, Windrose Airlines, and YanAir.
