Sino Jet Management (SJM, Hong Kong International) has opened a base at Guangzhou in a bid to improve the quality of its business charter and aircraft management services for customers in the Pearl River Delta area, AIN Online has reported.

The base is Sino Jet's fourth, after Hong Kong International, Shanghai Pudong, and Beijing Capital. The carrier will also establish an own maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Guangzhou.

"Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has been very open and welcoming to business aviation, which is quite uncommon in China. They have also built hangars specific for business aviation, and many of our clients prefer to park there due to costs compared to Hong Kong," President Jenny Lau has said.

The new base will also serve customers from Shenzhen and Dongguan.

Sino Jet plans to open offices at Xi'an Xianyang and Urumqi in the near future, as well as expand its current offices in Chengdu Shuangliu and Shenzhen.
