S7 Group has taken delivery of its first B737-8 following the arrival of VQ-BGW (msn 43302) in Novosibirsk on Saturday, October 13.

The twinjet is leased from Air Lease Corporation and will be operated by Globus (Novosibirsk) for S7 Airlines (S7, Novosibirsk).

According to ch-aviation schedules data, S7 will debut B737 MAX operations on Wednesday, October 17 with flights from Novosibirsk to Moscow Domodedovo. This will then be followed by Chita on October 19, St. Petersburg on October 22, Sochi on October 28, Mirnyj on October 29, Petropavlovsk Yelizovo on October 31, and Nha Trang Cam Ranh (Vietnam) on December 16.

S7 plans to add ten more B737 MAX jets over the next few years as part of its strategic growth plan.
