VIM Airlines (Moscow Domodedovo) had been temporarily banned by the Russian aviation authorities to operate to the European Union along with Aviastar-TU (4P/Moscow Zhukovsky), Tatarstan Airlines (U9/Kazan), UTair-Cargo (TUM/Tyumen) and Yakutia Airlines (R3/Yakutsk) but the ban has since been lifted. It has transferred some of its flights to Barcelona, Basle/Mulhouse, Rimini, Tenerife Sur and Thessaloniki to the B757-200 operated by subsidiary Air Bashkortostan (ZU/Ufa). VIM has meanwhile launched weekdaily B757-200 service from Krasnodar to St. Petersburg on November 7.
