JetBlue Airways (B6, New York JFK) has announced it will relocate its Houston operations from Houston Hobby to Houston Intercontinental with the onset of the Winter 2019/20 season in October 2019.

The American carrier said in a statement that "Bush Intercontinental is committed to providing customer-focused cutting-edge technology, like interactive visitor kiosks and fast, free Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets and charging stations through the terminal".

jetBlue will operate to Houston Hobby for the last time on October 26. The day later, the carrier will start services to Houston Intercontinental.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, jetBlue currently operates to Houston daily from New York JFK and daily from Boston. Both services are onboard A320-200s. After the relocation, flight schedules will be slightly adjusted.

Following the relocation of jetBlue, Houston Hobby will remain served by only three scheduled passenger carriers, namely Southwest Airlines (WN, Dallas Love Field) (which currently has a 94.6% market share by capacity out of the airport), Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson), and American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth). Quest Diagnostics (LBQ, Lawrenceville) also operates out of Houston Hobby.
