British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) took delivery of its maiden A350-1000 on July 26, 2019. G-XWBA (msn 326) was ferried directly from Toulouse Blagnac to London Heathrow via Châteauroux Déols Marcel Dassault.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the British flag carrier will operate its first revenue flight with the A350-1000 on September 2 to Dubai International. Starting on October 1, it also plans to deploy the type to Toronto Pearson. The airline will first use the A350 on services to Madrid Barajas for crew familiarisation purposes, although the schedule has not been revealed publicly.

British Airways has twelve A350-1000s on firm order from Airbus. The carrier does not operate A350-900s. Its widebody fleet also includes twelve A380-800s, thirty-three B747-400s, three B777-200s, forty-three -200(ER)s, twelve B777-300(ER)s, twelve B787-8s, and eighteen B787-9s.

Separately, the carrier resumed its flights to Cairo International on July 26, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It suspended the route from Heathrow on July 20 citing unnamed security concerns. In a statement to the British media, the carrier said it conducted "a thorough assessment of the security arrangements" and decided that the resumption of flights was safe.
