Gulfstream Aerospace (GLF, Savannah International) has delivered the world's first G600, its newest long-haul business jet, to an unnamed customer in the United States, the manufacturer said in a press release.

The first delivery took place at the manufacturer's headquarters at Savannah International airport on August 8, 2019.

The new type received both FAA type and production certificates on June 28, 2019. It is a replacement for the G550 type and is a larger version of the G500, which is in operation since September 2018.

"The G600, with its outstanding performance, industry-leading innovative technology and stylish, comfortable cabin, continues the emergence of a new generation of Gulfstream aircraft that started with the G500 in 2018. We have only just begun," President Mark Burns said.
