Vertis Aviation (Zurich) has added its first Global Express 5000 to the portfolio of managed aircraft exclusively chartered by the Swiss company, it said in a press release.

"There has been a distinct change in market behaviour as charter demand for business airliners has shifted to the large-cabin, long-range jets. The high levels of comfort, always-on connectivity and flexible performance capabilities make these aircraft types a great alternative and it is a valuable addition to our mix," Chief Operating Officer Catherine Buchanan said.

The Bombardier Business Aircraft business jet is privately-owned and based out of London Luton.

According to its website, Vertis Aviation manages and charters an A319-100ACJ operated by K5-Aviation (Germany) (KAY, Munich); a B737-700(BBJ) operated by Privajet (PVJ, Malta International) and another BBJ operated by Longtail Aviation (6T, Bermuda); a Bombardier Challenger 350 operated by Fireblade Aviation in South Africa; two Global 6000s - one operated by Fireblade Aviation and one by Privajet; and one Gulfstream IV operated by Windrose Air Jetcharter (QGA, Berlin Brandenburg International).
