Royal Air Maroc Express (RXP, Casablanca Mohamed V) is changing its destination airport in Tenerife from Tenerife Norte to Tenerife Sur at the start of the Summer 2019 season, ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has discovered.

From March 25, 2020 onwards, the African regional carrier, subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc (AT, Casablanca Mohamed V) will fly its 3x weekly AT986/987 flights from Casablanca Mohamed V to the island's other airport, which is just 29 nautical miles (54 kilometres) away. Royal Air Maroc Express operates its ATR72-600 equipment on these flights, of which it has six in service, according to the ch-aviation fleets module.

Royal Air Maroc and Royal Air Maroc Express fly to six Spanish destinations between them - namely Barcelona El Prat, Gran Canaria, Madrid Barajas, Malaga, Valencia Manises, as well as the existing service to Tenerife Norte.
