Air Kiribati (IK, Tarawa) has resumed flight operations following a 17-day suspension brought on by a lack of serviceable aircraft.

The government-owned carrier said in a statement that it had secured a part needed to return its only DHC-6-300 to serviceability. Following clearance and installation, Air Kiribati resumed regular flights on Sunday, May 31 with flights throughout the central Pacific archipelago.

Air Kiribati's fleet includes two DHC-6-300s, one Dash 8-100, one E190-E2, and three Y12Fs.
